The Grand Room hosted Jessica and Jayson’s beautiful wedding for 80 guests, featuring Yugen canapés and cocktails on arrival, followed by a three-course seated dinner with a Yugen shared menu.
With a shared love of Japanese and Asian-fusion cuisine, the couple were drawn to The Grand Room’s unique dining experience — making it the perfect setting for their special celebration.
We had our wedding reception at The Grand Room in August this year and we are so happy we made this decision.
A huge thank you to Katie and Andrea, who were absolutely wonderful to work with. We had so many questions throughout the planning process, and Katie was always incredibly patient, responsive and thoughtful. She always gave excellent recommendations that helped guide us through the planning while constantly working hard on our changes when we couldn't make up our minds about guest count! Andrea was equally amazing on the day, adapting seamlessly when plans changed and making sure everything ran smoothly. Though running a 80 pax reception can be busy and chaotic, he handled it so professionally and made us feel very well taken care of. Everything we wanted, the team delivered.
What really stood out to us was how genuinely engaged and invested the team were. They really cared about making our reception the best it could be. They helped work within our budget, worked really hard to take care of our guests throughout the night, and made sure that our night was as stress-free as possible.
A few examples of this, out of many, was when they helped with our table styling at the start of the night even though we hadn't mentioned this in our prior conversations. Then they also carefully packed all our belongings and had it ready for us to collect whenever we could come back. They offered helped without asking, they didn't rush us, and they were just extremely accommodating.
The reception room itself was beautiful, and we loved the lighting as it really added a premium feel. We didn't need to do much with styling at all as it looked so impressive the way it was - especially at night with the South Yarra lighting in the background through the windows.
We are so grateful to Katie, Andrea and the entire LK Hospitality team for helping make our wedding reception such a memorable night. We would wholeheartedly recommend The Grand Room to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an exceptional team behind it.
